Privacy Policy

The Sutter Creek Theatre is a small, family-run venue. We collect only what we need to sell you tickets, get you in the door and, if you ask, tell you about upcoming shows. We never sell your information.

What we collect

When you buy tickets: your name, email address, phone number (optional), the show and tickets you bought, and the amount paid.
When you join our mailing list: your name and email address.
At the door: when your ticket is scanned, so each ticket can only be used once.
When you contact us: whatever you choose to include in your call or email.

We do not see or store your card number. Payments are handled by Square, which processes your card directly on its secure checkout page.

How we use it

To send your tickets and order confirmation.
To put your name on the list at the door.
To contact you about your show, for example if the time changes or the show is rescheduled.
To send show announcements, but only if you joined our mailing list or ticked the box to get them. You can unsubscribe anytime with the link in every email.
To keep our own sales and tax records.

Who we share it with

We never sell, rent or trade your information. We use a few trusted services to run the theatre, and they only get what they need to do their job:

Square processes payments (Square's privacy notice).
Constant Contact sends our mailing list emails.
Our email and hosting providers deliver ticket emails and run this website.

We may also share information if the law requires it.

Cookies

This website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. The only cookie we set is a sign-in cookie for theatre staff using our Box Office.

How long we keep it

We keep order records as long as we need them for the show, our bookkeeping and tax records. Mailing list members stay on the list until they unsubscribe or ask us to remove them.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to show you the information we have about you, correct it, or delete it (except records we have to keep by law). California residents have these rights under state law. To ask, email info@suttercreektheatre.com or call 916.425.0077. We won't treat you differently for asking.

Children

Our website isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. Tickets for kids are bought by a parent or guardian.

Security

The website uses an encrypted connection (https), payments go through Square's secure checkout, and only theatre staff can sign in to our Box Office.
